About the Scholarship

Established in 2005, the HCB Annual Scholarship seeks to assist graduating seniors of Alleghany or Bath County High School in pursuing a business degree at Mountain Gateway Community College.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be a graduate of Alleghany or Bath County High School with a minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Applicant must be enrolled in a business curriculum at Mountain Gateway Community College

Scholarship Stipulations

  • Scholarship is granted for one year (two consecutive semesters)
  • Scholarship applies to tuition and books
  • Student must maintain a cumulative 2.75 GPA with no grade lower than D at the end of the first semester or the scholarship will be withdrawn
